You will have heard much over the weekend on the recent Ballot of GPs regarding forms of industrial action. The outcome of the recent ballot of GPs was a decision not taken lightly by the GP Profession. Each GP Practice is being asked to consider what action it sees fit to take to send a clear message that the future of general practice for our patients is important to us and we cannot continue to provide more services for less than inflationary increases year on year without cutting costs which may include staffing levels.

For some of you this news may have been worrying and we want to reassure you that, despite the media message, at Gratton surgery we will not strike. We will continue to see our patients as and when needed. Our aim is to only take action that does not directly affect the patient care we provide and to ensure that we can retain a workforce to provide those services to you and your children.
